Closure of Permissive Footpath

Posted 213 weeks ago (27/03) by Theresa Goss

The Parish Council has been advised that the permissive footpath which runs through the field near to The Ridgeway will possibly have to be closed by the landowner.

The first issue is dog walkers who are letting their dogs mess in the field and not picking it up. This is extremely dangerous to cattle.

The second issue is people smashing holes in the fencing around the field to make a more convenient route for themselves.

There have been on-going issues with the Countryside not being respected by users of the permissive footpath and if there is no improvement by Sunday 29 March, the land owner will close the footpath.
